Landscapes of Inhabitance

Wherever you go, there you are, as the saying goes. We travel through the landscape, leaving icons of our inhabitance behind.  Trash cans, port-a-potties, fences. Ubiquitous icons of having made a place, here, in this space.  The landscapes that we move through begin to take on a relativity, a relationship to how we interact with the place.

By looking at ordinary things, a sort of repetition becomes clear.  Each of the elements becomes an artifact that bears proof of the way we live.  While similar, many of the items carry their own weight in the space, either by half hazard placement or intended design.  Together they offer up an individual aesthetic, a way of viewing ourselves in the midst of our chosen environments. A window into our commonality.
